Garden advice/consultancy

Every garden is different, as are the client's requests and requirements. I aim to give each client an individual garden that will complement their home and lifestyle.

This service will include:
  • Initial consultation with client
  • Site survey/ analysis/meetings
  • Discussion plans
  • Provision of a layout plan drawn to scale
  • Full ink and colour rendered plan
  • Specification drawings if required

At the initial visit I will have a discussion with you to get an idea of how you want to use the garden. This visit usually takes between one and two hours. There is an initial consultancy fee for this visit but this will be offset against any further work which may be commissioned. After this initial meeting I will confirm everything discussed in writing and if you agree to the proposal I will start the design process. This survey will take into consideration all measurements, level changes, utilities on site, access, aspect, orientation and soil samples. Once this has been completed I will draw up a plan and then contact you for discussion of the plan. Once the plan has been approved I will ink it, colour it and make specifications drawings or notes for the contractors. Photocopies will also be made in black and white for use by the contractors.

Garden Design implementation

I will organise quotations for the construction of the design if required. In addition I can discuss the drawings with the client's own builder if preferred. This service also includes consultation and discussion with landscapers/builders and site management during the construction phase to ensure that the plan is followed as closely as possible.

Planting Plans

A planting plan can be devised especially for your garden, taking into account its site, climate, aspect, orientation and soil conditions. I will endeavour to include any particular favourites providing that the conditions are favourable.

The planting plan will come with a list of all plants used and basic care instructions. I can also be contacted once the garden has been completed if you require further advice or would like to arrange maintenance.

Garden advice/consultancy

This service includes a general walk through your garden and a written/verbal report of suggested plants or hard landscaping that will enhance or improve your garden. There will be an hourly charge for this service.
